Finish This! Week #24

This game is called "Finish This," and all you have to do is finish the following prompts and link up your post below! You can also visit the other hosts of this party on their fun blogs: Nicole {Three 31} Lisa {Coastlined}, Jen {The Arizona Russums} and Becky {The Java Mama}.

I could spend all day … laying on my couch catching up on DVR... I haven't had much of a "me" break lately and all I imagine doing is napping and simply doing nothing lately!

My primary and most essential goal in life … is to be the best girlfriend/mother/daughter/sister/friend I can possibly be. Although the last one "Friend" I have been a little wrapped up with this new family life that I'm not nearly the friend I once was.  I don't have too many friends out there but am thankful for the ones that I do have!

You might be surprised to learn … I'm obsessed with watching baseball. I am a season ticket holder for the Minnesota Twins for the 3rd year.  I watch nearly every single game and even did so on the road (with MLB.TV).  I rarely miss a game and usually it's my boyfriend who is asking me updates on baseball, standings, and stats.  I love it!

My favorite place in the world is …up North at the cabin.  I love being up in the middle of nowhere surrounded by trees and quiet.  Plus there's this little bakery up there that has the BEST sourdough bread I've ever had!

I wish I had known sooner … how hard it would be to lose this baby weight!!  I must read too much People magazine because I think I had it in my head that after the first few months I'd be back to my normal size again. Clearly I have learned what reality is when it comes to losing baby weight.

Prompts for WEEK 25 (June 25) are:
I have a quarter to use a pay phone, I call ….
I found $25 in my pocket, I buy …
I have 25 minutes to watch anything on TV, I turn on …
A meal I can prepare, from start to finish. in 25 minutes or less is …
At the age of 25, I wish I had known …
If I drove 25 miles (direction) from my house, I’d be in ..

  1. After my second pregnancy, I carried that baby weight for 2 years. I looked like I was pregnant and had students even ask me. Right before he turned 2 (a couple weeks beforehand), I started watching what I ate and eventually lost it. Good luck losing the weight.
My husband loves watching baseball. His favorite team is the Cincinnati Reds.

    Have a great week!

    1. Sounds like this mama needs a little patience in losing weight :) I went to the Great American Ballpark a few years back when I was working in Ohio. I think Cincy is a really nice city. I would consider a weekend getaway there!

  2. Haha don't hate me but my worst nightmare is watching baseball! I went to a few MLB games growing up and they were about 6 hours long and it scars me. :)

  3. Ah baseball can't say I've watched it lately but loved going to games when I was a kid. And baby weight stinks to get rid of ! Ugh it's my worst task. I've got four kids and still feel like I'm trying to get rid of weight from three of them. Hoping I get there someday.

  4. How fun that you are a season ticketholder for baseball. I skipped my senior prom to watch the St.Louis Cardinals play my all-time favorite Atlanta Braves back in the day. I was (still am) smitten with Chipper Jones. HAHAHAHAHA

p.s. Just keep your head up on the whole losing baby weight thing. Even breastfeeding/nursing/pumping, it's a struggle but I also love to eat. One day at a time, my friend. One. Day. At. A. Time.

  5. Baby weight is some of the hardest weight to lose. Just keep trying and don't get discouraged. Remember how amazing you are.

  6. You know I wish my baby dr .. her having known how weight conscious I am.. would have looked me in my face the day I left the hospital and said 'LOOK GIRL! If you don't want to keep that baby blub, you are gonna have to get off your arse and run and do crunches!'... Geez.. I needed that..
