A Long Week/Weekend in Review

Ahh how wonderful it is to have a 4 day weekend! I swear as I get older these weekends just fly by!  We definitely filled up our time with friends and family!  We were still in our 9 day gun season, grandpa shot a 10 pointer and Adam and I didn't see anything the morning we went out.

We went over to Adam's cousin Becky's house on Weds night and they were making Lefse - a Norwegian tradition.  Since George and Adam are both Norwegian it was fun getting to see them make it and trying it with cinnamon, butter and sugar!  Yum.  George tried it as well - I don't think he knew what to think of it!

We spent Thanksgiving with both of our families.  We started at Adam's parents and then finished at Dad's cousin's house.  Both of the hosts put on amazing meals. We were so blessed to get to spend time with both sides!

On Friday it was a pretty quiet day and George was being fussy.. So I decided to bring him outside and play in the sled our neighbor gave us.  George definitely did not know what to think!!  I think it was such an ordeal getting him all dressed, then mama dressed, that he was about done by the time we got out there.  It didn't help that while he was waiting for me to get ready he tipped over!!

Judy and I went shopping for Small Business Saturday in Hudson, WI.  It was such a great way to spend our Saturday!  We went to so many little shops that had some great stuff!!  We went to Knokes and bought chocolates, caramels, jelly bellies, and Old Fashioned Ribbon Candy.  We also went to a few clothing shops, home shops, antique stores, and finished by having lunch at Postmark Grille.  It helped that the weather was absolutely amazing on Saturday!!

And because we are having so much fun with little George crawling that I captured this little gem while he was navigating our basement.  Such a fun age where he's able to move.  He's truly coming into his own with his personality and it's been just incredible watching him grow!

Hope you had a wonderful (long) week/weekend!!  And that you were able to spend time with friends and family during the holidays.

  1. I really don't know how the last 5 days came and went so quickly! Looks like yours was just as eventful as mine was! Awesome to have both families to visit for the holidays!
